about
Stefano Poletti was born in 1978 in Parma. He’s been skateboarding since a very young age, but after getting his cinema degree in Bologna, he stopped practicing his kick flip, moved to Milan and started a directing career.
Being a musician himself, in the late years 2000 he gets noticed for directing some edgy music videos for then emerging bands such as Baustelle, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti and The Zen Circus. Since then, he’s become one of the most prolific music video directors in the country.
Over the past 10 years he’s also worked with prominent adv agencies and clients (such as Heineken, Samsung, Rolex etc…), as a director and filmmaker. He has directed fashion videos and adv for, among other, Trussardi, D&G, Armani and Alberta Ferretti.
Nevertheless, sometimes he finds himself musing about his wasted skateboarding career.
